Twitter Suspending Accounts For Post Incorrect Information

Tens of millions of accounts are being suspended by Twitter.  According to the "Washington Post," the company has pulled the plug on more than one million accounts every day for the last few months after coming under fire for not doing enough to prevent incorrect information from being posted.  Lawmakers in Washington have had strong words to say about Twitter and Facebook with claims the companies have been turning a blind eye to misinformation on their platforms.  Twitter says it has spent the last couple of months suspending more than 70-million accounts as a result.

Even President Trump has weighed in on the moves, tweeting over the weekend that "Twitter is getting rid of fake accounts at a record pace."  He posed the question "Will that include the Failing New York Times and propaganda machine for Amazon, the Washington Post, who constantly quote anonymous sources that, in my opinion, don't exist."
